The intent of the acquisition of these assets is to provide an entree to additional devoted small ship enthusiasts and travel partners. The company owns and operates two distinct brands, new InnerSeas Discoveries and sister brand, American Safari Cruises. Note that neither the business entity Cruise West nor the brand name have been purchased, only the specific assets as indicated above.
New brand InnerSeas Discoveries offers high adventure, moderately priced 7 or 14-night Alaska cruises (starting from $1,795. per person) beginning May 2011 aboard the 49-guest Wilderness Discoverer and Wilderness Adventurer. American Safari Cruises (www.americansafaricruises.com) offers upscale adventure yachting in Alaska’s Inside Passage, Mexico’s Sea of Cortes, Columbia/Snake Rivers (including wine and culinary-focused itineraries) and NEW in fall 2011, the Hawaiian Islands. The three yachts, the 12-guest Safari Spirit, 22-guest Safari Quest and 36-guest Safari Explorer offer an exclusive, yet casual experience.
