Holland America Line has promoted Karen Pierce to the position of director, Enterprise Solutions, reporting to Brent Davidson, vice president, Information Technology.

In her new role, Pierce will oversee all aspects of technology compliance programs, information security, business continuity planning, and program management.

Pierce previously served for six months as manager, compliance programs, at the premium cruise line and managed regulatory and compliance efforts for the Information Technology department.

Pierce joined Holland America Line in 2009 following 11 years at Washington Mutual/JP Morgan Chase, where she served most recently as vice president, senior technology manager and led regulatory and compliance teams for technology infrastructure and corporate information security departments.  There, she also managed technology compliance for the office of the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer in addition to technology change management and business continuity planning.

Pierce holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and currently lives in Port Orchard, Wash., with her family.
