Ceres Terminals Incorporated is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony LaForgia as Vice President of Ceres Atlantic Terminals, Inc., operating in New York and New Jersey, effective October 1, 2010.
Mr. LaForgia replaces Gary Lesnevich who is retiring. LaForgia will oversee Ceres’ operations and administrative functions in the Port of New York/New Jersey with primary responsibility for the coordination, administration and management of cruise operations at Cape Liberty Cruise Terminal in New Jersey and the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in New York. He will be based in Bayonne, New Jersey at Ceres’ new office location.
Anthony LaForgia is a seasoned veteran of the maritime, marine cargo handling and cruise industries with 27 years of experience. Mr. LaForgia was a former General Manager with Maersk Sealand/Universal Maritime in Port Newark and Elizabeth, New Jersey. His responsibilities included the U.S. East Coast and Gulf region.
Mr. LaForgia joined the newly formed Ceres Atlantic Terminals, Inc. in 2004 with the start-up of the Ceres Bayonne Cruise Facility. LaForgia was also part of the Ceres Atlantic Terminals, Inc.’s start-up team for its Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in 2006, which is Cunard and Princess Cruise Line’s number one cruise port. Ceres’ Bayonne Facility has been consistently ranked among Royal Caribbean’s top terminals in the world.
