The Martinique Tourism Authority has announced that the 2009/2010 cruise season had a flawless safety record. There were zero incidents of crime against passengers, according to Jacques Bajal, manager of cruise and water sports for the Tourism Authority. He said the absolute safety of disembarking passengers is a top priority. He attributed the flawless record better cooperation between the national and municipal police forces, as well as stepped up civilian patrols.
