Lehr Appointed Director, Legal and Assistant General Counsel at Holland America

Holland America Line has appointed Meredith Lehr as Director, Legal and Assistant General Counsel.  Lehr had served as external counsel to the company since 2006.  Lehr will report to Kelly Clark, Vice President, Legal and General Counsel. 

In her new role, Lehr will provide legal guidance for areas including human resources, risk management and general legal proceedings.  Her role will eventually expand to include support for marketing and guest programs.

Lehr joined Holland America Line with an extensive background in legal counsel for local companies.  As senior corporate attorney for three years at Univar USA, she advised on and negotiated a wide variety of commercial contracts, as well as providing counsel on corporate law and advertising. Lehr also served as Director of Legal Affairs, the head of the corporate law department at Unigard Insurance Company, culminating a 15 year career with Unigard. 

A graduate of the University of Washington’s College of Arts and Sciences and School of Law, Lehr holds a juris doctor (JD) degree from the School of Law in addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, graduating Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and with College Honors.
