Uni-Safe Set to Introduce New Bridge Watch Alarm System

Uni-Safe Electronics is set to introduce a new Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System.  The new system (the BW-800) complies with IMO MSC. 128(75) and the new IEC 62616 performance standard from February 2010

The company claims that it is the first in a world to comply with the new IEC performance standards. Additionally, DNV has carried out the performance test with success and the company is now “waiting for the environmental test to be completed.” If all goes according to plan, the system should be for sale starting this coming April.

The BW-800 system is designed for installation on new vessels but can also be retrofitted The company says that the system will be environmentally tested according to specifications from DNV, Lloyd’s Register, RINA, BV, ABS, GL, NKK, RS, CCS and KR.
