On the French Riviera, the Port of Golfe-Juan is ready to welcome cruise passengers, according to the French Riviera Cruise Club, which recently hosted a familiarization visit in collaboration with the tourism office of Vallauris Golfe-Juan.

Local shipping agents and tour operators were invited and given information about promotional deals offered in connection with the launch of the new port of call. Nearly a dozen agents participated according to French Riviera Cruise Club.

Port Manager Michel Lallement gave a technical presentation and demonstrated the reception facilities available for cruise passengers. The Director of the Tourist Office, M. Mottier, presented the  attractions of the town of Vallauris/Golfe-Juan.

Participants were able to visit the Espace Jean Marais, the Sassi-Milici gallery and workshop, Vallauris Castle Museum and Picasso’s war and peace murals in the National Picasso Museum in Vallauris. They were also shown pottery and linocut workshops that cruise passengers could attend during their stopover.
In order to call, ships will anchor in the Bay of Golfe-Juan, and there is a six-minute tender ride to the port, where hostesses will greet passengers. A variety of shore excursions are available and first call is complimentary for each cruise line.
