The Splendida of MSC Cruises made her maiden call in Marmaris on Dec. 4. The port created a mini Turkish bazaar on the pier for the guests to wander through as they disembarked. The bazaar included a traditional Turkish carpet weaving stall with local handicrafts on display, a baklava stall, traditional Turkish ice cream and honey doughnuts, a Turkish coffee stand, complimentary souvenirs, brochures and city maps. There was also entertainment featuring a children’s folkloric dance troupe, Turkish music and more. The master of the Splendida was presented with a plaque and a custom-made Turkish ceramic plate to commemorate the visit.
