MSC Poesia arrived in the Caribbean Sea on schedule today, calling this morning at St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, on her transatlantic journey to Port Everglades, where she will arrive November 10, 2009, to begin her inaugural Caribbean season.

The ship will make one more port call – an overnight visit to San Juan, Puerto Rico – before embarking on the final leg of her journey from Europe to America. In just four more days, MSC Poesia will launch her first Caribbean cruise season from Fort Lauderdale, featuring itineraries of 3-, 5-, 7-, 8- and 10-nights before returning to Europe in spring 2010.

MSC Poesia features 1,275 staterooms, of which 80% are outside staterooms and 65% have a balcony. Guests can enjoy 2 pools and 4 hot tubs, a 13,000-square-foot spa, and four restaurants, including a Sushi Bar themed restaurant.
