Ship Efficiency Conference

The second Ship Efficiency conference will be held in Hamburg on 28 – 29 September 2009. Organised by the German Society for Maritime Technology – STG, this conference series takes place every other year, alternating with the world’s leading trade fair of the maritime sector: Shipbuilding/Machinery & Marine Technology – SMM, in Hamburg

Ship efficiency is taking on increasing importance, according to to the organizers: “In an industry characterised by increasingly keen competition on a global scale, the key to survival is designing, building and operating ships efficiently. An efficient ship is profitable and environmentally compatible.”

The conference will address how to improve the efficiency of shipping operations, and how to increase a ship’s profitability.
