Princess Targets Australian Market

  • July 8, 2009

With ships sailing to Antarctica, Asia, and Australasia, Princess Cruises has every continent covered with the release of its 2010-2011 ‘Exotics’ program, according to Princess Cruises, Australia.

With ships sailing to Antarctica, Asia, and Australasia, Princess Cruises has every continent covered with the release of its 2010-2011 ‘Exotics’ program, according to Princess Cruises, Australia.

The new program offers 36 spectacular itineraries including three brand new Princess voyages – a South China Sea holiday, a grand adventure from Australia to China and a world cruise onboard Pacific Princess.

The one-off 16-night South China Sea holiday takes passengers from Singapore to Bangkok onboard the Ocean Princess, visiting Manila in the Philippines and Xiamen, Shanghai and Hong Kong in China as well as Vietnam’s Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City. Departing Singapore on December 22, 2010, fares are available from (Australian) $3,949 per person twin share.

Australians can now sail from their doorstep up the east coast to Southeast Asia on the 2,760-passenger Diamond Princess, which is offering a new 23-night voyage from Sydney to Beijing visiting Port Douglas, Darwin, Bali, Hong Kong, Taipei, Nagasaki, Shanghai and Dalian. Departing Sydney on February 8, 2011, fares are available from $4,479 per person twin share.

Alternatively, guests can enjoy a 17-night itinerary from Asia to Australia onboard Diamond Princess, sailing from Bangkok and visiting the exotic ports of Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, Bali, Darwin, Port Douglas and the Whitsundays before arriving in Sydney. Departing December 5, 2010, fares are available from $2,979 per person twin share.

The Princess Cruises ‘Exotics’ program also offers four 12-night Trans-Tasman voyages between Sydney and Auckland onboard the Diamond Princess. Sailing in December 2010 and January 2011, the cruise offers five ports including Melbourne, Hobart, Dunedin, Christchurch, Tauranga as well as scenic cruising in New Zealand’s Fiordland National Park. Departing Auckland on January 3, 2011, fares are available from $2,399 per person twin share.

The Star Princess will operate two Antarctic adventures with departures from Rio De Janero on December 20, 2010, or Buenos Aires on January 9, 2011. The itinerary visits the Falkland Islands, scenic cruising via Cape Horn as well as several South American ports. Fares are available from $3,539 per person twin share.

Jenny Lourey, senior vice president of Carnival Australia, which represents Princess Cruises in Australia, said the latest ‘Exotics’ program delivered an exciting line up of cruise holidays all over the world.

“Princess Cruises continues to offer passengers incredible ‘must see’ destinations onboard its diverse range of ships, so whether you want the space of a megaliner or the intimacy of a boutique ship, Princess has it all,” Lourey said.

(Above fares are in Australian dollars and are cruise only. Conditions apply, subject to availability.)
