Further Update on the Marco Polo

Transocean Tours of Bremen – which operates the 800 pax vessel Marco Polo – has confirmed that after further close consultation with NHS Highland the decision has been taken that Marco Polo will sail back to Tilbury tomorrow (Thursday 9 July). Passengers will be given the option of either staying on board or travelling back to London via York and Peterborough by a specially chartered train and then by coach on to Tilbury.

A full update will follow later this afternoon.

Members of the public who are concerned about relatives on board or require any further information can call Transocean’s UK based general sales agent, Cruise and Maritime Services International Ltd in Dartford, Kent, on 0845 430 0274 or 07894 478 969 outside office hours.
