Schat-Harding Opens New US West Coast Service Centre

LEADING lifeboat and davit manufacturer Schat-Harding has opened a fully staffed service centre on the west coast of the United States as part of the global Schat-Harding network. The new facility, based near Seattle, Washington, becomes the sixth dedicated Schat-Harding location in the Americas.

Graeme Wilson, former president of Seattle-based independent lifeboat service company Cap Sante International, has been appointed sales and contracts director for the new company. Former Cap Sante International operations manager David Jones has also been recruited as part of the new team, which will be further strengthened by the imminent arrival of a number of experienced service engineers.

Graeme Wilson says, “Schat-Harding believes in being close to its customers, providing them with a responsive service when they need it, where they need it. The new facility will meet demand from a number of leading shipping companies for a reliable and responsive original equipment parts and service resource close to all major US west coast locations. It will also assist the Schat-Harding service centre in Vancouver, Canada.”
