Aruba Welcomes Princess Ships

Aruba hosted two cruise ships over the past few days, the Pacific Princess on April 27 and the Sea Princess on April 28, according to Kathleen Rojer, director of Aruba Cruise Tourism, and no Swine Flu cases were reported, she said in a press release.

The Pacific Princess was on her first call, and Aruban officials welcomed the Captain, staff, crew and cruise guests, and an exchange of plaques took place.

As a preventive measure Aruba has heightened its surveillance on the Swine Flu that is manifesting itself in other countries, Rojer stated, adding that Aruba has had no swine flu cases reported.

The island’s PR Cruise Greeters welcomed more than 3,500 guests from the two ships.
Aruba has a unique birthday program, whereby passengers who celebrate birthdays while on their cruise vacation, will receive what Rojer called “a surprise one of a kind gift when going ashore.”
