Island Cruises will continue to exist as a brand, with the Island Escape sailing under the Thomson Cruises umbrella, “for this summer, and into winter 2009-2010,” Thomson’s Director of Cruising David Selby told Cruise Industry News.
As for beyond next winter, Selby said that a decision has not yet been made.
According to reports, Thomson is also considering transferring a ship to the Island brand. “It’s possible,” Selby said. “But it all costs money. It’s something we have to review.”
