At the beginning of the new year Becker signed the first order of three Mewis Ductâ with Grieg Shipping Group AS from Bergen (Norway). The brand-new product will be installed on three existing vessel as retrofit. The ten and fifteen years old, 185 m long, 46,600 dwt ships are running with a service speed of 16 knots. Becker expects to improve the propulsion by at least 5%, the model test shall research detaily the improvement. The first Mewis Ductâ shall be installed in beginning of July 2009.
