Report: Grounded Antarctic Ship Afloat Again

A Chilean tugboat early Monday freed Antarpply Expeditions’ Ushuaia after it had ran aground last week in Wilhelmina Bay along the western Antarctic Peninsula, The Associated Press reported.

The limited fuel and oil spill from the 3,000-ton ice-strengthened polar vessel had been controlled, officials told the news agency.

The Chilean Navy rescued 89 passengers and 33 crew off the ship last week. No injuries were reported.
