Seaport industry executives will meet on critical challenges facing ocean shipping worldwide, including discussions regarding the marine highways initiative, during the North Atlantic Ports Association (NAPA) semi-annual meeting from Dec. 8-9 in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The Canaveral Port Authority is sponsoring the event.

The intense sessions allow delegates to learn from each other on the latest industry developments in areas such as port security and best environmental practices. A key focus of the agenda is on building cruise ship traffic.

Sessions include topics on customer service and the changing U.S. economy, managing port assets to reduce costs, moving forward amid the economic climate, and legal issues facing the maritime industry.
