  • December 1, 2008

Gary Rhodes, the well known TV chef who has restaurants on board two ships in the P&O Cruises fleet, Arcadia and Oriana, will travel three times during 2009.

A new brochure published today, highlights these dates and the diverse collection of cruise holidays offered. Gary Rhodes will be on board during the following itineraries:

Oriana 14-night Mediterranean departing 9 May 2009, X906. Ports of call include Barcelona, St. Raphael, Rome (from Civitavecchia), Naples, Palermo, Valencia and Gibraltar. Prices from £1,449 per person.

Arcadia 14-night Baltic departing 6 September 2009, J914. Ports of call include Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Oslo and Kristiansand. Prices from £1,519 per person. Oriana 22 night Caribbean departing 26 November 2009, X920. Ports of call include St. Maarten, St. Kitts, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, Grenada and Barbados. Prices from £1,849 per person.

The third edition 2009 brochure also features a new three night itinerary on board Oriana, departing on 5 April 2009 and calling in Bruges and Le Havre (for Paris). Prices start from £349 per person.

P&O Cruises managing director, Nigel Esdale, said: “The addition of Gary Rhodes’ cruise dates and a new city break itinerary, highlight the broad range of holiday experiences offered by P&O Cruises, from an indulgent long weekend to a three week Caribbean voyage.

“In a time when the credit crunch is hitting our wallets in every aspect of our daily life, P&O Cruises holidays – including accommodation, almost all food, entertainment, child care and even flights – represent excellent value for money and this brochure offers savings for holidaymakers of up to 45%.

“We are also pleased to welcome Marco Pierre White on board throughout next year. Marco will be travelling on five itineraries on Ventura, Oceana and Aurora – details of which can be found on our website www.pocruises.com.”

Gary Rhodes and Marco Pierre White take part in cooking demonstrations and book signings whilst on board, in addition to spending time with their teams in the galley and in the restaurant with passengers.

The brochure contains details of enhancements on selected itineraries, such as:

Tate Talks

A programme of talks, interviews and creative workshops in partnership with Tate Modern on Ventura and Oceana, and Tate Britain on Arcadia, Aurora, Oriana and Artemis. For more details visit www.pocruises.com/tatetalks
