Ambassadors International, Inc. announced Tuesday that CFO Blake Barnett resigned effective Dec. 15 and that Laura Tuthill, the company’s chief accounting officer, would assume Barnett’s post.

Barnett’s departure is the second major change in leadership this year at Ambassadors, owners of Windstar Cruises and Majestic America Line. In September, Chairman and CEO Joe Ueberroth announced he would step down in September 2009.

The Newport Beach, California-based company is attempting to sell Majestic America before 2009, and may attempt to sell the line’s ships individually, rather than as a brand.
