Michael Pawlus Comes Aboard The Yachts of Seabourn

Veteran cruise executive Michael Pawlus has joined The Yachts of Seabourn as director of revenue planning and yield management.

Pawlus has over 20 years’ experience in the cruise industry, and most recently was in charge of itinerary and product planning at Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Prior to that, he had headed Regent’s revenue management and planning department for three years.  Pawlus has also held a wide range of executive and management positions at a variety of cruise and travel companies including Uniworld, the Cruise Shoppes Travel Consortium, American Classic Voyages, Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Viking Line.

“We are elated to have Mike on our team,” said Adam Snitzer, Seabourn’s vice president of marketing. “We look forward to calling on his unique expertise and wide-ranging experience as we add three new yachts and expand our fleet capacity by over 200 percent in the next three years.”

Seabourn is building three new ultra luxury cruising yachts, the first of which, Seabourn Odyssey, is set to debut in June of 2009. Carrying a maximum of 450 guests each, the intimate vessels will feature 225 spacious ocean-view suites measuring from 295 to nearly 1200 square feet of indoor space, 90 percent of which will include expansive private verandas. The new class of luxury yachts will boast an exceptionally high ratio of space per guest, allowing extravagant amenities such as an 11,400-square foot, indoor/outdoor spa facility– the largest on any luxury cruise vessel.
