Aker Yards in France confirmed with Cruise Industry News on Monday that there is a conflict with NCL about the cost of their F3 newbuild and that the two companies are trying to find a resolution.

Aker did not describe how the conflict arose, saying only that the conflict concerns the first of the two ships ordered by NCL in 2006, not the second vessel. The two 150,000-ton ships, scheduled to debut in 2010, will cost a total of 1.47 million euros, Aker said. The first vessel was about 25 percent complete, the yard said.

NCL has declined to comment other than to acknowledge last week that there was a conflict.
