P&O Cruises Offers Two World Voyages in 2010

  • September 11, 2008

World cruise expert P&O Cruises is offering two world voyages for 2010 which will be on sale from Monday 15 September 2008. Arcadia will undertake her first full circumnavigation for those passengers who are looking for a traditional round the world voyage and Aurora will be taking a connoisseur voyage aimed at more experienced cruisers who are seeking something little different. The 2010 World Voyages brochure contains both itineraries which will depart from Southampton in January 2010.

P&O Cruises managing director, Nigel Esdale, said: “These two world voyages complete our most varied winter programme yet, with two week Caribbean fly-cruises and month long Southampton round trip sailings already on offer for winter 2009/10. Winter cruising and longer voyages are particularly popular with experienced cruisers. But we are finding that an increasing number of first time cruisers are opting for World Voyages as there first cruise. Our expanding fleet means we can offer more variety and choice for our passengers, in terms of deployment, destinations, length and cost of holiday.

Aurora’s Grand Voyage departs on 5 January, sailing eastbound via the Mediterranean, passing through the Suez Canal to visit Egypt, India, the Far East, Japan, Australia and the Indian Ocean, before returning to Britain via South Africa. Highlight destinations include:

Dubai

Kuala Lumpur

Singapore

Hong Kong

Hiroshima

Sydney

Melbourne

Phuket

Mauritius

Cape Town

Prices for the full 104 night voyage start from £9,549 (including 45% pricebreaker early booking discount).

Arcadia’s World Cruise departs on 10 January and is a full world circumnavigation, sailing westbound via the Caribbean, Mexico, USA, New Zealand and Australia, with two weeks in the Orient and a return sailing to Britain via India and Egypt, passing through the Suez Canal. Key ports of call are:

San Francisco

Honolulu

Auckland

Sydney

Whitsunday Islands

Hong Kong

Sihanoukville

Ko Samui

Singapore

Aqaba

Prices for the 94 night itinerary start from £8,599 (including 45% pricebreaker early booking discount).

“A world voyage is undoubtedly the most indulgent and leisurely way to see the world, yet they have never been more popular with over 2,000 passengers already booked for a complete voyage in 2009. Also they do not have to break the bank with the average cost per person per night working out at just over £90*. Cruise holidays remain reassuringly good value, especially when you consider that the cost includes all main meals, entertainment and facilities whilst on board,” continued Esdale.

Prices include a maximum 45% Pricebreakers discount available on bookings made by 30 November 2008. Double on board credit of up to £750 per person is also available before this date.

A total of 14 line voyages to and from Australia and New Zealand are also available as part of the programme, offering holidaymakers shorter voyages combined with a tailor-made pre or post cruise stay in Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney.

Line voyages range from 38 to 66 nights in duration and are priced from £4,099. A one-night stay in Auckland starts from £99 and a three-night stay in Sydney from £299. All prices are per person based on two sharing.
