Silversea Appoints Andre Nordseth as V.P. of Hotel Operations

Andre Nordseth has joined Silversea Cruises as vice president of hotel operations.  In this position, he is responsible for overseeing the areas of hotel operations, entertainment, food and beverage, concessionaires and purchasing for the ultra-luxury line.  Based in the Fort Lauderdale office, he reports to Christian Sauleau, executive vice president of fleet operations.

“Andre is a widely recognized talent in the cruise industry,” said Sauleau.  “We are delighted to put his leadership, broad knowledge and expertise to work at Silversea in this vital role.  He shares our passion for extraordinary service and hospitality, and I’m confident he will reinforce our commitment to excellence.”

Most recently, Nordseth served as vice president of hotel operations and onboard revenue for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.  Prior to his tenure at Regent, he was director of operations for Blue Lagoon Cruises in the South Pacific.  Previously, he worked at Kloster Cruise Ltd., primarily for Norwegian Cruise Line, where his onboard posts included hotel director and food and beverage manager.  He also worked in NCL’s corporate office as manager of training and crew development.  Nordseth holds an apprenti chef degree, and a master of sciences degree from Florida International University.

Silversea Cruises is recognized as an innovator in the luxury segment, offering guests large-ship amenities aboard four intimate vessels, Silver Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Shadow, and Silver Whisper, all designed to offer an atmosphere of conviviality and casual elegance.  With the addition of the regal expedition ship Prince Albert II, the company’s itineraries encompass all seven continents.
