Aruba Inaugurates New Terminal

Aruba Ports Authority N.V. recently inaugurated its newly upgraded and expanded cruise terminal, just in time for the winter season and to welcome cruise passengers and crew to its new shops, according to Kathleen Rojer of Aruba Cruise Tourism.

Terminal stores offer a variety of products, including top of the line merchandise to take home, she explained.

The renovated terminal has murals decorated with birds flocking to the island during winter season, as well as local bird species.

The Aruba Information Booth, manned by trained Aruba Cruise Tourism PR Cruise Greeters has been upgraded as well. The booth is redesigned and equipped with two mega displays portraying Aruba.  The front of the booth depicts coral stones with a hint of limestone color to give the authenticity of the island flavor at the first impression, according to Rojer, who also said that the port authority spent bit more than AWG 3 million (Aruban guilder/florin) on the renovation.

The terminal has also a first aid station, telephones and 17 stores, offering local and international products, from perfumes to souvenirs, clothing, bijouterie, postcards, paintings, towels, accessories, and a coffee shop.
