By 2010, Royal Caribbean International may be the single largest cruise brand with an estimated annual capacity of 3.6 million passengers, compared to Carnival Cruises Lines’ 3.5 million. Based on their current fleets and orders, Royal Caribbean will have 24 ships compared to 25 for Carnival, but Royal Caribbean’s ships are larger on the average with a total of 65,500 berths compared to 60,714 for Carnival.
