Carnival to Europe

For years, Carnival Cruise Lines’ president Bob Dickinson has said that the cruise line would venture into Europe when the time was right. So, next year, the 88,500-ton, 2,100-passenger Carnival Legend will sail one 12-day Northern European cruise and a 15-day trans-Atlantic sailing from London (Harwich) in conjunction with the ship’s delivery from Kvaerner Masa-Yards in August of 2002.

The 12-day cruise will sail from Harwich Aug. 24 and call at Copenhagen, Wamemunde, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, and Amsterdam.

The crossing departs Sept. 5 and includes calls at Le Havre, Cork, Reykjavik and St. John’s before arriving in New York on Sept. 20.
