American Classic Voyages (AMCV) has reported net income of $1.5 million, or $0.10 per share, on revenues of $50.9 million for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 1998, compared to net income of $2.8 million, or $0.19 per share, on revenues of $49.7 million for the third quarter of 1997. The third quarter 1998 included expenses of $0.6 million related to the company’s vessel expansion plans.
For the first nine months of 1998, AMCV reported a net loss of $1.3 million, or $0.09 per share, on revenues of $145.1 million, compared to net income of $2.0 million, or $0.14 per share, on revenues of $132.5 million for the same period in 1997.
For the first half of 1999, AMCV reported that American Hawaii is 63 percent booked at a rate of $213.95 per passenger night and that Delta Queen is 36 percent booked at a rate of $297.45 per passenger night (excluding onboard spending, shore excursions, etc.).
