Renaissance Cruises has confirmed orders for RS and R6, which are slated for delivery from Chantiers de l’Atlantique in February and May of 2000.
It is also believed that discussions are underway for a seventh and eighth in the “R” series of vessels.
The line will take delivery of Rl and R2 in June and November at which time Renaissance will increase available berths by 300 percent. Renaissance will also take delivery of two “R” ships in 1999. The line presently operates four 114-passenger vessels.
