P&O has reported operating profit of 72 million pounds for P&O Cruises and Princess Cruises’ for the six-month period ended June 30, 1997, compared to 67.5 million pounds for the same period last yar. According to P&O, bookings and yields for Princess have remained strong following some weakness in Alaska in the spring, and look strong for next year.
