Carnival Cruise Lines has announced that it intends to rename the parent company the Carnival Corporation.
Mickey Arison, Chairman and CEO, said that renaming the parent company will better reflect its broad business holdings and differentiate the corporate entity from the Carnival operating unit. At the same time, Carnival also announced that Bob Dickinson has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of the Carnival Cruise Lines operating unit.
