Crystal Cruises has announced that it has placed an order for a sister ship to the Crystal Harmony with Finland’s Kvaerner Masa-Yards.
The new ship will be approximately 48,000 tons and carry 960 passengers. The main designer is Robert Tillberg of Sweden in cooperation with Studio Ganoni Associati of Italy. Both firms also worked on the Crystal Harmony.
The building cost is estimated at $300 million although the company has not yet released a cost since a final contract is still being completed.
