A recent ad in The New York Times Sunday Magazine raised a few eyebrows when Swiss America Line offered “A New Investment Concept” promoting a sea-going condominium – “your private stateroom on the luxurious cruise ship Victoire I.”
While the ad featured a small picture of one of Norwegian Cruise Line’s white ships, that line claimed it knew nothing about the advertisement or the company. Interested investors were invited to submit inquiries in writing to a Miami mailing address.
The same ad also appeared in the August edition of Popular Mechanics and the latest grapevine pick-up said that the ship is the Maxim’s des Mers.
