Finnish-based Diamond Cruise, which started its search for a U.S. marketing partner for a catamaran-type luxury ship two years ago, has reportedly reached a working agreement with the Radisson Hotel Corporation.
The 130-foot ship, which was designed by Wartsilla, will also be built at that yard at a cost of about $128 million. With 128 staterooms and a 200-seat business theater, the ship will primarily be targeted to the meetings and incentive market, with per diems of about $475, according to industry sources. It is believed that Diamond Cruise will own and operate the ship, while Radisson will be responsible for sales and marketing.
