Windstar to Debut in NYC

Wind Star will make her debut in New York on October 28 – the real 100th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty, according to Jean Claude Potier, president of the Windstar Sail Cruises. The ship’s masts were recently installed.

Wind Star is the first of four ships being built by the line in France. All four will be 440 feet long (the “world’s longest sailing vessels”), and carry 150 passengers.

The ships promise to offer a unique cruise experience.

Weekly rates are set from $1,785 to $2,395.

Wind Star will begin sailing seven-day cruises from Martinique, December 13, 1986.
