Royal Cruise Line to Build Two Ships

Royal Cruise Line has chosen the Jos L. Meyer shipyard in Papenburg, West Germany, to build its two new 40,000-ton, 990-passenger ships. Estimated to cost approximately $220 million, the new vessels will increase the line’s capacity to 3,300 berths, and place Royal Cruise Line among the five largest cruise operators in the industry, according to the line.
